Localized Cryotherapy

Local cryotherapy is used to target specific localized areas that are in pain or inflamed to cold temperatures between -240°F to -256°F for about 5 - 10 minutes per location. Local Cryotherapy has been used for cellulite reduction, reducing inflammation, athletic recovery for specific problem areas, and relieving any forms of pains from, for example, surgery. Almost any part of the body can be treated externally with localized cryotherapy treatment. Some of the most common treated areas include the neck, upper back, lower back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and heel for plantar fasciitis.

  • Depending on the area of treatment, you should wear comfortable, loose clothing so that it is easy to expose the area of treatment. We provide gowns to make it easy for you.

  • Our staff at Cryo Energy are fully trained and prioritize safety. During a local cryotherapy session, the temperature of the vapor may reach as low as -240 F. The vapor is very cold, but it is definitely bearable. Your skin’s temperature is monitored during your session to ensure maximum results without risking frostbite.

  • You can get a local cryotherapy treatment as often as once a day! However, the frequency of your sessions is very dependent on what you are using cryotherapy for. Clients may come to Cryo Energy for a local treatment multiple times per week to just once depending on their ailment or injury severity.
